Our Philosophy in Business
The creation and evolution of Loyalty Marketers has inspired a philosophy for how we approach our business. It comes from many
years in business working for both clients and agencies. These ideas provide our operating principles and how we look at the world.
It's all about achieving the right balance...
Know our client's business - As consultants, it is critical that we understand a client's business from many levels:
management, employees, customers or members, shareholders and other stakeholders. Without an in-depth understanding of the
challenges and opportunities of the business, how else could we come in and deliver value from our work.
Be a consultant but act like an owner - When people are spending their own money they tend to be much more critical than when
spending "the company's" money. That isn't how we operate. We approach any engagement looking at the work we do and the value
we can deliver by thinking about the return on investment. If we wouldn't make the purchase with our own money, we won't let
the prospective client spending their money. Because in the end, if our clients aren't successful, we won't be either.
Maintain aligned interests - We call the idea that our success is tied to that of our clients Aligned Interests. It's a simple concept
but an important approach. We believe that what we do for our clients can have such a dramatic impact on their business that
we'll take some risks with our fees for the upside when we achieve success. Our incentive is aligned with our client's
best interest which keeps us in alignment.
Be true to ourselves and our clients - Finally, life is too short to do work we don't enjoy or work for people who are difficult
clients. We'll be honest with our clients and expect them to be honest with us. We'll only take on clients we can help and we'll tell them if we can't.
Our consultants are all professionals - some former company executives with many years of experience. We know from experience that if
we stay true to ourselves and to our clients, what we do through Loyalty Marketers will be unmatched anywhere.
If you agree with our philosophy, chances are we'll be a good fit for your business needs. We also welcome additional ideas that can
help make Loyalty Marketers successful. And if you disagree with something, we encourage you to challenge us with your own philosophy.
